JLC is creating a society of leaders to create change in communities.

JLC is a non-governmental non-profit organization whose primary purpose is the prevention of human rights violations. JLC is an organization led by young professionals who use the knowledge learned to agents of change in a society with a high degree of social injustice. JLC was founded in 2003 by the management of several young people who identified the need for education for sustainable development for vulnerable groups.

Also, JLC provides the opportunity to create young leaders committed to these communities by providing workshops and other projects based on the community that is creating a strong sense of values and to educate young leaders about their humans rights. Through this, JLC provides hope to help build a society respectful of human rights and knowledge of how best to protect their own from outside influences that have the potential to damage their fragile cultural existence. Working with indigenous communities, JLC gives them the tools and skills to become self-sufficient and to promote a network of solidarity among young Hondurans, regardless of their origins and differences.

To create a society respectful of human rights

This project was born from the initiative of young leaders who saw the need for change. They visualized the need for a protective country of human rights, gender equality, domestic violence, including the most vulnerable parts of society and equal participation of all its members, helping to build a true democracy.

Many young people have the energy and the will to engage in philanthropic projects and helping others who need it most, knowing that young Hondurans are not involved in the machinery of the democratic system, JLC provides spaces to forge leaders committed to values that guarantee a society respectful of human rights.

Promote and propose the participation of young people and creating value proposals and action plans that are capable of ensuring the protection of human rights at the national level, policies that help encourage gender equality in all its senses and help establish a more participatory democracy.

  1. Create and promote young leaders with strong values, aware of the inequalities in the different strata of society.
  2. Help improve through projects, the precarious situation regarding human rights and gender equality, working directly with the most vulnerable people in society.
  3. Rebuild confidence and credibility of the people's participation in society.
  4. Providing support and assistance to the neediest groups.

Create a network of solidarity and purposeful leadership capable of fighting for the human rights of all people suffering from some form of inequality. JLC aims to raise awareness and prepare young people for a struggle on human rights, and thus with strong values and character to engage in the democratic system to ensure compliance with policies that come to favor those groups whose rights are violated.

Developing leaders with strong values, capable of ensuring a constant struggle to protect human rights and gender equality in political processes of the country. And a society where all people are aware of their rights.
